Sylvester - NCI Announcement
The National Cancer Institute, or NCI, is one of the 11 agencies that form the National Institutes of Health and the federal government’s leading agency for cancer research, training, and health information dissemination. Each of the 71 NCI-designated cancer centers have been recognized for pioneering cancer research in basic, clinical, and population science. While Florida has the second highest cancer burden in the country, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is only the second cancer center in the state, and the only one in South Florida, to achieve NCI designation. Sylvester’s NCI announcement event was held at the Schoninger Research Quadrangle. The event consisted of interactive custom made walls. Each section of the event was designated with a subject supporting the Sylvester’s NCI designation: Education & Training, Cancer Prevention, and Survivorship. Project included overall design layout, space planning, copywriting, way finding system, and vendor management.
